Changes approved to
Three Voting Precincts

Current Voting Precincts

Three voting precincts in Montgomery Township have been approved for realignment. Precincts 3, 7 and 8 have seen population growth causing long lines on Election Day.

Montgomery Township started the process in February 2025, working together with Montgomery County Board of Elections to gather voter data to determine new alignments to address the problems. Once agreed upon, districts were established, signatures from Democrats, Republicans and Independents from each district signed petitions to confirm the need for and their approval of the split of the voting precincts.

As shown in the maps, the newly aligned precincts are split along North Wales Road (in Precinct 3) and along Stump Road (in both Precincts 7 and 8). The registered voters in each precinct are listed on the attached maps, both before and after the proposed changes.

At the voting locations, there will now be two lines with two sign-in books each, and their own staff (Judges, Inspectors, etc) and scanners.

This adjustment will make precincts similar in size to other precincts and result in shorter lines on Election Day.

NEW Voting Precincts

Approved precinct changes:
Precinct 3 will become 3-1 and 3-2 at Bridle Path Elementary
Precinct 7 will become 7-1 and 7-2 at Montgomery Elementary
Precinct 8 will become 8 and 9 at Montgomery Township Community and Recreation Center

The hearing to review and finalize these changes took place on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at the Montgomery County Courthouse with Common Pleas Court Hon. Daniel G. Ronca presiding.

These changes will not take effect until the General Election in November 2026. Information to those affected will be sent out AFTER the May 19, 2026 Primary.
